In light of their most recent retrospective of German-born, international in outlook and globally-exhibited artist Wolfgang Tillmans, Tate craft a close portrait of the artist and his wide-ranging, multi-disciplinary work. Alongside portraiture, landscape and intimate still lifes, Tillmans pushes the boundaries of the photographic form in abstract artworks that range from the sculptural to the immersive.
Banksy, the star of Britain's street art, recently unveiled his new Walled Off hotel, encompassing 10 custom rooms and located next to the Israeli barrier wall at Bethlehem. Opening for bookings later this month, the artist brought the initiative to life in hope of sparking a dialogue, attracting younger visitors from Tel Aviv and rising job prospects locally.
